Our Qualified specialist

  • Dr. Megan Lieu

    Dr. Megan Lieu has been a long-time resident of Orange County. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She left California briefly to pursue her Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Lieu completed her externships at the following locations:

    • Daytona Beach Outpatient VA Clinic (Primary Care and Low Vision)
    • University of Chicago, DCAM (Emergency and Pediatric Care, Neurological and Retinal Services)
    • VA Hudson Valley Health Care System (Primary Care and Ocular Disease with emphasis on glaucoma, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy)
    • Illinois Eye Institute (Contact Lenses, Pediatric/Binocular Vision)

    She also has experience with refractive, cataract and pterygium surgery. She is affiliated with several surgical centers and co-manages with the surgeons to ensure all her patients have the best surgical experiences and outcomes. Dr. Lieu is certified in glaucoma and myopia management.

    Dr. Lieu partakes in the One Sight Program, providing complimentary comprehensive exams and eyewear to the underprivileged members of our community. Her favorite part of practicing Optometry is seeing a patient’s face light up in the exam room with a new prescription. Dr. Lieu takes pleasure in traveling, gardening, drawing and spending time with family and friends.

  • Dr. Laura Dao

    Dr. Laura Dao graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then went on to attain her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. She is board certified to treat eye diseases, including glaucoma and is experienced in refractive surgery/cataract surgery co-management. Dr. Dao is here to provide professional eyecare near you and believes in quality care that comes from the relationship between doctor and patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her French bulldog.

  • Dr. Gaylynn Deters

    Dr. Gaylynn Deters graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Then she attended UC Berkeley where she acquired a second Bachelors degree in Vision Science and also her Doctorate of Optometry.

    Her externships were at Travis Air Force Base (primary care focused) and West Los Angeles VA Medical Center (primary care and ocular disease focused). She is also experienced in refractive surgery comanagement and is certified in myopia control management for children.

    Dr. Deters has enjoyed volunteering in her childrenā€™s schools and raising guide dog puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. She loves traveling, going to concerts and sporting events, and hanging out with family.

  • Dr. Natalie Lavinder

    Dr. Lavinder grew up in the Central Valley of CA. She decided to shadow her childhood optometrist during high school and became fascinated with the field of eye care. She attended University of California, Los Angeles and obtained a bachelorā€™s degree in Physiological Sciences. In her free time, she volunteered at various optometry offices in LA County and worked at the Low Vision Rehabilitation Center in the Jules Stein Eye Institute.

    After college, Dr. Lavinder earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. Her clinical training shaped her into a well-rounded eye care provider: she practiced primary eye care at the Travis Air Force Base Hospital, treated a variety of ocular pathology at a community clinic in Downtown LA, and worked closely alongside ophthalmologists, co-managing cataract and refractive surgery patients in Las Vegas. Dr. Lavinder is a glaucoma-certified optometrist, a MiSight Certified Eyecare Provider, and an affiliate of NVISION Eye Center.

    Dr. Lavinder speaks some Cantonese and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, daughters, and cat.
